C2C Event Hire ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how you can access, correct or delete it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We do this as a matter of good practice, whether or not the Act's small business provisions technically apply to us.
Information we collect
When you submit a quote enquiry through our website, we collect the details you provide via our quote form, which may include your name, phone number, email address, event date, event location, guest numbers and the equipment you're enquiring about.
If you ask for one of our guides, we collect your name, your email address and, if you give it, your event date.
If you contact us directly by phone or email, we collect whatever information you choose to share with us in that conversation or message.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and communicate with you about your event by transactional email or phone.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to responding to your enquiry unless you separately opt in (for example, to marketing communications).
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). They set cookies to count visits, show us which pages and adverts lead to an enquiry, and let us show our adverts on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited the site. They do not receive what you type into our forms; the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics are only told that an enquiry was sent, not who sent it.
You can opt out at any time. Google's opt-out add-on stops Google Analytics on every site: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Meta's ad preferences control whether our adverts are shown to you: https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. None of this affects your ability to send us an enquiry.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run this website and respond to enquiries:
Vercel — hosts this website and processes form submissions in transit.
Resend — sends us the email notification of your enquiry, and sends you a guide when you ask for one.
Our own enquiry system — stores your enquiry, or your guide request, so we can quote and follow up. It is hosted on Vercel with its database held in Sydney, and is used only by our staff.
Google — provides the website analytics (GA4), and may host other site infrastructure.
Meta — provides the Meta Pixel, used to measure and show our adverts on Facebook and Instagram.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf.
Data storage and retention
Personal information you submit is stored securely. Where an enquiry does not lead to a booking, we delete or de-identify it within approximately two years. Where an enquiry becomes a booking, we retain the associated records for seven years, in line with our tax and business record-keeping obligations.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including relying on the security measures built into the third-party platforms we use.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. To make a request, email us at info@c2ceventhire.com.au or call 02 6655 6924. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first at info@c2ceventhire.com.au so we can try to resolve it directly.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, including once our analytics and advertising tools go live. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
