How it works / What it costs
What a marquee wedding costs
There's no price list on this site, and this page tells you why, then gets as close to a number as an honest answer can: what changes the price, what a quote looks like for three typical days, and what every marquee price already includes.
Why there's no price list
Two marquees the same size can cost different amounts, because a marquee isn't delivered, it's installed. How far the site is from Raleigh, whether the ground takes pegs or needs weights, how far the crew carries from the truck, and whether you want the floor, the clear walls and the lighting all change the number.
So we quote every job for its site, itemised: hire, installation, delivery and each add-on on its own line. You can take a line off and watch the number change.
What changes the price
Two marquees the same size can cost different amounts. These are the reasons.
How far the site is from us. Installation is quoted for your site.
Ground. Pegs into grass are standard. Hardstand — concrete, pavers or decking — needs weights, priced from the footprint.
Truck access. If the truck can park beside the site, the crew carries less. A long carry or a gate the truck can't fit through adds crew time.
Flooring. Priced by the square metre, quoted for your site. Flooring covers the whole marquee, never part of it: a 10 × 18 m is 180 m² of floor.
Walls. White, half-clear or full clear — clear costs a little more than white, quoted for your site.
Lighting. Festoon, fairy and LED lighting are separate lines, so you can see what each one costs.
Weekend or timed bump-in. A fixed hour on a Saturday can cost more than a Thursday window, quoted for your site.
Every one of these is its own line on the quote, so you can take one off and see the number change. The size ladder is on the marquee page, quoted for your site.
Three quotes, in words
No prices, but exactly what would be on the page. Each line is its own line on the quote.
A 50-guest wedding on a property
Fifty seated at round tables on a family paddock, with a 5 × 5 m dance floor.
- 10 × 9 m marquee, white roof, clear walls
- timber flooring, the whole marquee
- festoon lighting on a dimmer
- 5 × 5 m parquetry dance floor
- 5 round tables seating 10, and 50 white padded folding chairs
- crockery, cutlery and glassware for 50
- installation, quoted for the site: pegs into grass, the truck at the gate
Take the dance floor out and a 6 × 9 m does it, and the number drops with it.
A 120-guest wedding
About a square metre a guest at round tables, plus the dance floor and the bar inside.
- 10 × 18 m marquee, white roof, clear walls
- timber flooring, the whole marquee
- festoon lighting on a dimmer
- 5 × 5 m parquetry dance floor
- 12 round tables seating 10, and 120 white padded folding chairs
- crockery, cutlery and glassware for 120
- installation, quoted for the site
The biggest single line after the marquee is usually the floor: a 10 × 18 m is 180 m² of it.
A 60-guest backyard party
Cocktail style, with seats for about half. The party version of the same kit.
- 6 × 9 m marquee, white
- festoon lighting on a dimmer
- 5 × 2.5 m parquetry dance floor
- 4 dry bars and 20 bar stools
- 6 wine barrels
- 60 white padded folding chairs and 4 trestles
- glassware for 60
Drop the dance floor or the barrels and the number drops with them.
What every marquee price already includes
- A crew to put it up and pack it down. We don't just drop it off.
- The build day, written into your booking. If the crew isn't there on the day we book with you, we refund the installation.
- A four-day hire, including the install and pack-down days, so it's up over the weekend.
Deposit and balance
A 25% deposit holds the date and the structure; the date isn't held until it's paid. The balance of 75% is due two weeks before your event. Changes you ask for are re-quoted before the truck is loaded.
Where the number moves most
If the quote comes back higher than you hoped, these are the lines that move it.
- The floor. It's the whole marquee or none. On a slab or a deck you don't need it; on a lawn, think hard before you skip it.
- Clear or white. Clear roof and walls cost a little more than white. A white roof with clear walls keeps the view and the shade.
- Distance and access. A site the truck can park beside costs less crew time than a long carry through a narrow gate.
- The bump-in day. A fixed hour on a Saturday can cost more than a Thursday window.
- Booking early. It doesn't change the price, but March, May, June, October and November fill first, and the bigger structures go before the small ones.

“The team went above and beyond, setting everything up two days before the wedding in 35-degree heat, which we were so grateful for. Their hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and they were so lovely to deal with throughout the process…”
