From first call to pack-down
A marquee isn't delivered. It's installed, by a crew, on a day we've put in writing. Here's the whole job, start to finish.
You tell us about your event.
A form or a phone call. If you know the ground type and whether a truck can get to the spot, tell us that too. If you don't, we'll ask.
You get a sized, itemised quote.
About one square metre per seated guest, plus room for a dance floor and bar. 120 seated at rounds is a 10 × 18 m. The quote lists hire, installation, delivery and add-ons on separate lines, in writing.
You book, and the date is yours.
A deposit of 25% holds the date and the structure, and the balance of 75% is due two weeks before your event. We confirm the time with you as the date gets close. Any changes you ask for are re-quoted before the truck is loaded.
We do the work.
The crew builds it, walks the site with you, and leaves. After the event they come back and take it all away. You don't lift anything.
What install day looks like
The crew arrives on the day your booking names to build. Then, in this order:
Flooring. If you've booked it, the timber flooring goes in first, laid level across the footprint on its steel sub-frame.
Pegs or weights. Grass and dirt get pegs. Hardstand, pavers, decking and anything we can't drive a peg through gets weights, which we bring with us.
Frame and roof. The frame goes up, then the roof, then the walls you've chosen: white, half-clear or full clear.
Lighting. Festoon lights, fairy lights or LED runs hung and tested.
Furniture and the dance floor. Tables and chairs where the floor plan says, then the dance floor set where you want it.
Walk-through. We show you where everything is, what not to move, and who to call. Then the florist, the caterer and the band can start.
Pack-down runs the same way in reverse, after your event, on the day written on your booking.
Our on-time guarantee
If the crew isn't there on the day we book with you, we refund the installation cost: the installation and pack-down charge on your invoice comes back to you. We confirm the time with you as the date gets close.
If we need to move the build day, we agree the new day with you in writing, and the guarantee moves to that day. If you don't agree to the change, the original day stands.
Why we can say that
We load at our own depot in the middle of the coast we cover, and the marquee is the first thing on site so there's nothing ahead of us in the queue.
What it doesn't cover
The guarantee doesn't apply if the site isn't ready or access is blocked; if the ground is unsafe to build on; if weather makes installation unsafe; if roads are closed or an emergency is declared; or if you ask us to change the date. In each of those cases we'll tell you before the bump-in day, not after.
This guarantee is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
How it gets to your site
A crew and a guaranteed day
Every marquee price is hire plus professional installation and pack-down. That's a crew and a build day you can plan around. It's the part of the job that makes the rest of your day possible, and it's the part we guarantee.
A time window, quoted for your site
Tables, chairs, lighting runs and tableware on their own are delivered from our yard, quoted for your site depending on distance and order size. Deliveries run on a route with other jobs, so you get a window rather than a minute. Marquee installations get the fixed day.
What changes the price
Two marquees the same size can cost different amounts. These are the reasons.
How far the site is from us. Installation is quoted for your site.
Ground. Pegs into grass are standard. Hardstand — concrete, pavers or decking — needs weights, priced from the footprint.
Truck access. If the truck can park beside the site, the crew carries less. A long carry or a gate the truck can't fit through adds crew time.
Flooring. Priced by the square metre, quoted for your site. Flooring covers the whole marquee, never part of it: a 10 × 18 m is 180 m² of floor.
Walls. White, half-clear or full clear — clear costs a little more than white, quoted for your site.
Lighting. Festoon, fairy and LED lighting are separate lines, so you can see what each one costs.
Weekend or timed bump-in. A fixed hour on a Saturday can cost more than a Thursday window, quoted for your site.
Every one of these is its own line on the quote, so you can take one off and see the number change. The size ladder is on the marquee page, quoted for your site.
What your site needs
Access for a truck. A gate wide enough and ground firm enough for a truck to reach, or get close to, the spot. Tell us if it can't.
A level area a little bigger than the marquee, with nothing overhead. Branches and power lines decide where a structure can go.
The ground type. Grass, dirt, gravel, pavers, concrete or decking. It decides pegs or weights, and the price.
Someone to open the gate when we arrive, or a code.
Not sure about any of these? Send a photo of the spot with your enquiry.
If it rains
A marquee is the wet-weather plan. Walls keep the rain out, timber flooring keeps guests off wet ground, and we build it days before, not on the morning. If the forecast turns before bump-in, we talk to you about walls and flooring before the truck leaves, not after it arrives.
Tell us about your day
A date, a place and rough numbers are enough to start. We'll come back with an itemised quote.
