A Dorrigo marquee is planned around the road up, so the build day in your booking already allows for the climb. From Bellingen the Waterfall Way is 30 km of winding road along the river and up the escarpment onto the plateau, so we give the truck extra time, check road conditions the week before, and write a time we can keep. The Showground at 4180 Waterfall Way hosts a folk and bluegrass festival on the last full weekend of October, and its organisers' own advice sums the plateau up: come prepared for all weather, cold nights and warm days. That's why walls, timber flooring and heating matter more up here than they do down on the Coffs Coast, and we'll say so when we quote rather than leave you to find out in the evening.
